24th STS Culture

"First There". This motto summarizes the 24th STS excellency in combat controlling, managing to safely direct air traffic and coordinate air support for their attached units. Our CCT's are masters of their craft and represent the pinnacle of AFSOC, which can only be achieved through dedication to the unit and arduous training. Professionalism, accountability and dedication are our core values.

24th STS Pipeline

After having shown their commitment to the unit in BUDS, AFSOC applicants will ingress STG OTC and learn what it takes to operate at the highest level of special operations while simultaneously performing their duties as a combat controller, thus really getting to grips with what it really means to be First there.

Must be at least 18 years of age (Waivers can apply up to 16).
Must be willing to submit to a lengthy and detailed training process.
Must be able to attend Eastern Time Operations / Events. 9pm EST Wensday/ Saturdays
Must have a working Microphone (No static, echo, etc).

Attach to special mission units.
Conduct air to ground communications.
Command and control direct actions of friendly aircraft.

Career Paths

Combat Controller Technician

CCTs are the first to arrive on the scene and do whatever it takes to clear the way for others to follow. These Airmen are the only special operations force that are certified air traffic controllers.
